This second time around Ibiza has given me a whole new perspective on where to go, what to do and how to have a truly amazing trip on this sun-kissed and luxurious Mediterranean gem. I ventured off with friends to find the island’s trendiest spots – its gorgeous beach clubs and wild nightlife. Here are some of my favourite spots to visit during for your upcoming trip to the party capital of the world!
Day Beach Clubs
- Nikki Beach Ibiza
Nikki Beach Club is an excellent choice for party goers whom love lounging or dancing around a pool while listening to their favourite tunes from an energetic DJ and professional saxophonist. This beach club is on Ibiza’s east coast in the Santa Eulalia area and is a chic beachfront restaurant, pool and club with the perfect Ibiza atmosphere. The décor and service is outstanding, especially noticed from the second you walk into Nikki Beach in images below. We attended Rose Saturdays and booked a sunbed right along the pool, where we were greeted by non-stop rose pitchers all day. It was also the best spot to be right in the centre of the action!
- El Chiringuito
Talk about ultimate luxury! One of the most fashionable spots on the island – with its picturesque tables, sunbeds booths, bottles and beautifully dressed people – is El Chiringuito. We got a comfortable table right to front with amazing views of the beach and lounge beds. The service was perfect and menu was delectable especially the antipasti del chiringuito, tuna tartare and the marinated seabass tartare bruschetta. My favourite dish of the day were the fresh oysters shucked and served by their own oyster man whenever your heart desires.
- Jockey Club
All round fun, right on the Salinas beach, is at Jockey Club. The chill vibe of this open air beach bar is a great spot for relaxing during the day and once the sun sets, to party the evening away. As Jockey Club is located on one of the best beaches in Ibiza, you can sunbathe on the beach and take a quick swim in the clear waters, while ordering your drinks from Jockey Club. They also have a tasty menu of Mediterranean dishes and an exclusive wine list.
- Blue Marlin
Blue Marlin is another trendy and chic beach club situated on the south side of the island with great day and night events. Blue Marlin offers a enjoyable menu of seafood, meats and sushi that can be served right to your gorgeous sunbed. A must do on the island.
Night Life
- Pacha – F*** Me I’m Famous
I cannot dare visit Ibiza and not attend the “David Guetta’s F*** Me I’m Famous” party on a Thursday night at Pacha nightclub. If you are also looking for an even glam night, I recommend staying at Pacha Hotel – it has a very modern design with fluorescent lights and is right across the street from the Club. The layout of the club has completely changed from my previous visit but it is still designed in a way to ensure maximum visually of the infamous David Guetta when he comes on the stage at 3am! Drinks are quite pricey so if you are with a group of friends, you cannot go wrong in booking a booth. Drinks service and a great view of the DJs whilst having space to dance is just so much fun!
- Pikes
One of the most incredible nights I have ever had was at Pikes! Pikes is a hotel founded in the 1970s by the legendary Tony Pike and it was a playhouse for the rich and famous like Bon Jovi, George Michael and Freddie Mercury. In 1987, Freddie Mercury celebrated his 41st birthday at Pikes and his name can be found on the walls of the club. Pikes is located in the San Antonio hills and to get to the bar/ club you have to rent a car and drive 40 minutes from the island’s capital into the island along small dirt roads until you arrive at the iconic 15th century stone hotel. The club is made up of several out door bars which have an alice and wonderland theme with games and characters all around. You eventually make your way to the main dancefloor which is in a white caved room with an energy like no other. It closes earlier than most clubs but it is so much fun, it is hard to leave!
- Lio Ibiza
Lio Ibiza is a cabaret show which turns into a wild nightclub once dinner is over. I highly recommend booking a table for dinner, enjoy the show and dance the night away but be prepared to spend a bit more than the other clubs! You can also just visit the club but best to make friends and get yourself on the guest list or it is 70 euros to enter after dinner.
